Korona Invest has acquired a minority stake in O.V. Lahtinen Ltd (“OVL”), a container service company specialized in container leasing and sales. OVL’s strong growth is based on its competitive leasing offering in the rail market between Asia and Europe. To support its compelling offering, OVL has developed its own IT system to enhance container transactions and container tracing. OVL’s goal is to become the leading container leasing company in the Eurasian market by strengthening its container fleet and human resources going forward.
OVL leases and trades more than 10,000 container units per year in Europe, Russia, and China, and is constantly expanding its geographical reach not only to large cities but also to more challenging destinations. OVL’s main customers are railway companies operating on Eurasian railways, as well as Chinese and European freight forwarders.
